Lightweight and Space-Saving

The small, space-saving design of WaveLight® Allegretto Wave® Eye-Q Lasers has already won numerous design awards.1

Ergonomically designed, WaveLight® Allegretto Wave® Eye-Q Lasers offer several advantages:

  • Small footprint
  • Fits through standard doorways
  • Enhanced comfort
  • Portable notebook
  • Lightweight, also suitable for historic buildings
  • Insensitive to temperature and humidity conditions: operation range between 18°C–30°C (65°F–86°F) and 20%-70% humidity

Fitting through standard doorways, the systems can be accommodated even in the smallest operating rooms. Compared to other systems, these lasers are lightweight and also suitable for historic buildings.

Expensive architectural changes to the operating room are, in most cases, not needed, because of the laser's sealed beam path, which is just one of the reasons for the laser systems' tolerance toward humidity and temperature fluctuations.

Cross Line Projector

Precise Centration

Finding the eye's correct treatment position is one of the most important factors in obtaining an excellent refractive outcome, especially in high astigmatic corrections.

Z-Centration: Distance Diodes

The WaveLight® Allegretto Wave® Eye-Q Laser's integrated cross line projector provides the surgeon with an exact alignment of the head's and eye's position. The target diode which generates a red light cross on the patient's face shows the right position in horizontal and vertical direction coordination with the manual marks.

Clinical Outcomes: Astigmatism

Results from 2 independent international sites with 141 high astigmatic patients. The post-operative plot diagram shows the high accuracy of treatment results.

Correct height alignment is reached with the 2 precise distance laser diodes (z-alignment).

Additional Equipment

Comfort, Practicality, and Ease-of-Use

WaveLight® Allegretto Wave® Eye-Q Lasers offer many features that support comfort, practicality, and ease-of-use.

The external plume evacuator removes fumes and odors that protect the respiratory tracts of patients and surgeons.

While other systems utilize integrated computer systems for treatment planning, WaveLight® Allegretto Wave® Eye-Q Lasers feature portable notebook computers. This provides you with the freedom of choice where and when to plan your next surgery day—still in your clinic or in a quiet moment in the evening or during the weekend.

Swiveling Patient Bed

The swiveling patient bed is a standard accessory and was also designed to swivel out to an angle of 30° to 45°. At the push of a button, the integrated motor brings the bed to the desired operating position. Once in position, the bed is secured against further movements. In addition, the bed features height adjustments of up to 270 mm.

With its integrated joystick, the bed enables precise patient alignment to the x-, y-, and z-axis with an accuracy of <0.1 mm. The swiveling speed is adjustable and the headrest can be moved to provide precise and comfortable patient positioning.

The bed’s power supply is interrupted as soon as the treatment is running in order to prevent unintended bed movements. If the bed is swiveled out, safety is ensured by time-controlled power interruption.

Considering every aspect of the refractive procedure, the WaveLight® Allegretto Wave® Eye-Q Lasers contain a built-in slit lamp.

There is no need to move the patient into a different room in order to check the flap position, the interface, or to perform a flap re-lift.

A 100 W, ultra-bright xenon light source provides excellent illumination.

The optional uninterrupted power supply (UPS) delivers reliable performance, even under unreliable environmental electrical conditions or loss of power.

In order to maintain highest possible hygienic standards, all parts of the laser system that might be touched during surgery can be fitted with sterile caps.
