A-CAT Software Module

Measuring Procedure and Treatment

The WaveLight® Analyzer System software provides a new level of convenience for the surgeon and patient. Enabling direct input of keratometer values (for precise distance alignment), the software automatically leads to the next logical step. Refraction values are available either in plus or in minus cylinder notation. The measurement number is incremented automatically.

Automatic Image Validation Ensures Centered Examinations

In addition, the new software package provides advanced safety features to reduce the risk of exporting decentered examinations for Wavefront-Guided treatments. The pupil detection and centration provides centered measurements and easy handling of the measuring device. Evaluation of the measurement data is done automatically and all important parameters are displayed in a summary screen. An automatic validation supports and simplifies pupil centrations and spot detection as well as the comparison between the wavefront refraction and the clinical refraction.

The software module A-CAT has been specifically designed to enable Wavefront-Guided laser vision correction in conjunction with the WaveLight® Allegretto Wave® Eye-Q Lasers.

Working in union with the WaveLight® Allegretto Wave® Eye-Q Lasers, all necessary treatment and patient parameters are transferred from the WaveLight® Analyzer to the laser systems. Then, the A-CAT software inside the laser's notebook calculates the appropriate correction pattern. The surgeon may, however, decide to change individual parameters at any stage of the process.
